Where the Love Is, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, no-kill animal shelter based in Hamden, Connecticut. It is dedicated to the prevention of animal cruelty and abuse, giving pets a new "leash" on life and finding them a loving forever home.

Each pet is fully vetted, receives some training, and gets lots of love before they are matched with a new family. Where the Love Is relies fully on volunteers, so 100% of your donation goes toward the animals’ health care and social and emotional well-being.

It's the Holiday Season

and Santa Paws is coming to town with a reminder that a pet is a big commitment and shouldn't be a surprise. Consider gifting this certificate to pick out a rescue pet AFTER the holidays when the decision can be made together. A donation to Where the Love Is also makes a great gift!

Meet Rosie

Sweet, loving, and affectionate 8 year old Rosie. She LOVES people, but not so much other dogs. She would be best in a home with no other pets. Please come meet Rosie. One word describes Rosie: SURVIVOR! Rosie with those soulful eyes and her loving personality shines through. She is so gentle when taking treats (how she loves her treats!), or just rubbing up against you for a pet. She loves to be outside, soak up the sun and hang out with her human. Can you help this loving dog find her forever home?
